As a user of an iPhone, I've noticed that certain Apple applications are designed for travelers such as myself. For instance, the calculator app on the iPhone includes a currency converter that functions without an internet connection, so I don't have to worry about downloading a separate application for currency conversion.

I don't believe this applies to hotels since they offer a concierge. The same goes for car rentals. Since you must physically check in to receive your keys (for a room or a vehicle), there's less chance of misunderstanding.

Each area has its own favored ride-hailing application. Uber and Lyft are popular in the United States, but they are not available everywhere. For this reason, I suggest looking into your destination if you intend to use ride-sharing services. You should find out which app to install beforehand.
Even if you intend to use taxis and/or public transit, I still suggest having a ride-sharing app installed and prepared. You never know what kind of unexpected experience might arise on your next journey. With a ride-sharing app handy, you can explore beyond the usual routes without too much concern about how to return to your rental.
A remedy for jet lag such as FlyKitt or Sleep Cycle
Jet lag can negatively impact a vacation in various subtle ways. As someone who is determined to ensure quality sleep during a trip that crosses time zones, I employ strategies to prevent jet lag. If you've overlooked the eSIM trend, here's a quick update: with just an app, you can prepare your phone for international use by buying data plans. It's truly that simple. Keep in mind that the traditional method is still available.
For instance, if you plan to visit a mobile phone store at your destination, they can readily provide you with an eSIM card—it might also be more cost-effective.
That being said, the convenience of a prepaid eSIM plan is hard to surpass. After all, unless you're staying at your destination for a month or more, visiting a mobile phone store likely isn't on your agenda. I've usedeSIMs like Airalofor years, while Firsty and Saily are also excellent choices.
A currency converter
As I previously stated, my iPhone includes a currency converter in theApple calculator app. If you have an iPhone, there's no need to download a separate currency converter app, since the calculator feature functions even without an internet connection. When might you require a currency converter? I suggest keeping one available if you plan to shop at roadside markets and/or engage in trade. In such situations, it's useful to have a converter nearby to prevent errors or fraudulent activities.

If you use an Apple device, ensure that the Find My app is installed and configured. This allows you to locate your iPhone if it's misplaced or stolen. For Android users, utilize the Find My Device feature through Google. Modern 'Find My' applications and services typically function even when the device is turned off.
TripIt
TripIt is a travel planning application developed by Concur that automatically and smoothly gathers all your travel reservations in one location. As an extra benefit, the app also integrates your meetings into your calendar and manages your receipts.
Google Translate
